Your healthcare choice: You can select CID for your imaging services, even if referred elsewhere.
Posted on P. Flinn Schanuel2 May 2024 Some times , some days , some hours, or even some phone calls can result in a bad encounter with this facility, but overall CID is a really good place that Hemet is lucky to have accessible in town. Be patient if you have to have a non-stat appointment scheduled, then don't miss it. It has many services available on site. Service dogs are allowed. Waiting rooms are clean, orderly, and have TV Plasmas set up. On my most recent visit to CID, I was scheduled to get biopsies on a mobile traveling unit (Dedicated Biopsy Services). I was hesitant, but the mobile unit was clean & well equipped. The technicians were excellent, the doctor was experienced & knowledgeable, and they were all polite, kind, informative, and professional. Although I don't recommend biopsies for fun, I do give this most recent experience an overall thumbs up. GOT QUESTIONS?
Nuclear Medicine is an area of medical imaging that uses small amounts of radioactive materials, known as radiotracers, to diagnose and treat many diseases. This imaging technique shows the structure and function of organs, tissues, and bones, providing detailed information that other diagnostic methods may not offer.
In Nuclear Medicine, patients are given radiotracers orally, intravenously, or by inhalation. These radiotracers emit gamma rays that are captured by a special camera, creating detailed images of the inside of the body. These images help physicians evaluate organ function, detect abnormalities, and plan treatment.
Yes, Nuclear Medicine procedures are safe. The amount of radioactive material used is carefully calculated to ensure patient safety and minimize exposure. The radiotracers typically have a short half-life, meaning they lose their radioactivity quickly.
The skilled radiology team at California Imaging and Diagnostics is trained to follow strict safety protocols to ensure patient well-being.
Nuclear Medicine can diagnose many conditions, including heart disease, cancer, gastrointestinal disorders, neurological conditions, and bone abnormalities. It is especially useful for detecting tumors, evaluating organ function, and identifying areas of infection or inflammation.
During a Nuclear Medicine procedure, you will receive a radiotracer through an injection, orally, or via inhalation, depending on the type of scan. You may need to wait to allow the radiotracer to concentrate in the area being examined.
The imaging process is painless and involves lying still on a table while the camera captures the images. The trained staff at California Imaging and Diagnostics will guide you through each step to ensure a comfortable experience.
